A Colorado Mountain Holiday Adventure
This past weekend, Jess and I set forth in the Colorado mountains on our annual Christmas Tree hunt. The search all over the mountain side is certainly the most fun part, followed by cutting it down, but then comes the hard work… hauling the tree back to the car. When we think about strength, we often picture big lifts—squats, deadlifts, bench presses—but one of the most functional tools in your training arsenal is often overlooked.
Thick Thighs Save Lives
A recent wedding isn’t the only thing we're celebrating at Tundra Performance and Physical Therapy in Denver. We get to introduce a new family member to the team. This past week a brand new piece of equipment was delivered, that while most people I’m sure are familiar with, is going to truly transform our physical therapy programming and training opportunities.
Outdoor Physical Therapy for Outdoor Athletes in Denver
A couple weeks ago Jess and I were at REI picking up a few supplies and gear for some upcoming adventures this Summer and I was reflecting on their brand. I took a step back and thought, how would people describe REI if you asked them? Most people would say, its an outdoor clothing and gear store and it got me thinking. These are people at Tundra Performance and Physical Therapy that we work with and treat everyday, outdoor athletes. Why couldn’t we be described as an Outdoor Physical Therapy company?
Active People in Denver Require Active Solutions
Whether you are a runner trying to get back into racing, a climber trying to get back to the crag, or a weightlifter working their way back to competing or the training floor. Active people require active solutions. That's where tailored, performance physical therapy comes into play.
Nobody Would Actually Pick Winter
7 Years ago, Jess and I were visiting with her family, Josh and Emily, in Durango and got into a heated debate about which season was the best. We weighed out pros and cons of the weather, what activities were available, and the emotions that each season stirred up. There was conclusive agreement that we all loved parts of all four seasons Colorado has to offer and it's a big reason as to why we choose to live here. Blessed to get over 300+ days of sun, powder days dumping feet of snow on the mountain within a couple days, and beautiful changing colors in the Fall and Spring.
